Waste consists of material left over after products have been made by producers and after they have been used by consumers.
Waste left over from the process of production contains many materials, some of which (such as chemicals) are quite hazardous in the environment and to the health of humans as well as plants and animals.
Common waste in domestic garbage includes: cans, bottles, cardboard and paper, plastic, and rotting organic material. Waste Disposal- Waste acts as breeding ground for a variety of pests. Those waste which are generated from the hotels should be disposed of in closed bins, which should be emptied frequently into the main waste collection area outside the premises. A recent trend in waste management is the recycling of organic wastes, using biogas plants & in case of liquid waste, sewage system plant is a good example of proper waste management. Biogas plants generate a considerable amounts of fuel for hotel, where as clean water obtained from sewage treatment plant is used for washing & gardening purposes.
